Disclaimer:

This game is still in development, and this build is unfinished. Things are destined to change before final release.

Dreamstory follows the story of a sentient robot created by a scientist, that flies away to a planet called Orbem Alternis. Here, Starstorm meets Dreamcast, and The Scientist meets a deadly and powerful force.

There is currently around 10-15 minutes of playtime in this game. There are 3 out of the 9 planned secret bosses.

Feedback is appreciated!

Alpha Version 1.0

The First Downloadable Demo of Dreamstory. Spans from Nyloq to the beginning of Dazzleside. Some elements don't work. Examples include;  Having to press Interact when going from The Wilderness to Ruins of Nyloq because I forgot to set the events to player touch, Not being able to go back to the first floor in The Facility because I forgot to put events on the stairs so you could go back down (same for third floor). 3 of the 9 planned secret bosses have been implemented.

Public Prototype 1.1

I decided that "Alpha" didn't really fit the name of the current state of the game, so this is now the public prototype. The option to change the font of the game has been added, and you can now choose from; A new Dreamstory Font made specifically for the game,  The Fallback Font that appears when you try to select a font that doesn't exist, Unown from Pokemon, The OFF Game Font, The Pokemon Pixel Text Font, the Final Fantasy 7 Font, the Default RPG Maker MV Font, Comic Sans MS, The Undertale Font, the OMORI font, and a broken font that doesn't seem to work. The "Uninspired Lady" in Dazzleside has been given purpose, and can now sell you items. Kind of. Headspace has been added, and is unlocked after "sleeping" in the lady's truck. I put sleeping in quotes because you don't really sleep, but the game just unlocks the skill for you and tells you that you're at the end of the game. This build still only spans from Nyloq to Dazzleside, but there's more to the game. Forgot to mention, but Bosses now have visible health bars. Also forgot to mention that the files have been changed to .zip files, because for one they're more accessible than .rar files, and also don't really work on Mac. Also also also forgot to mention that there's a new title screen. Also also also also forgot that INSTANTANEOUS DEATH, a move that isn't even supposed to be in the game right now, works differently. Instead of killing your opponent instantly, it ends the battle. Please don't use it. Also also also also also forgot to mention some small, minor UI Changes

Public Prototype 1.2

Still nothing progress wise. Dreamcast Classes and Robot Parts have been implemented . The game over track and image have been replaced to something less vulgar, the victory track has been replaced, and there is now background music for Headspace. Relentless Transformation has been renamed to “Stat Buff I”, Scenecast now gives you a tour of Headspace upon your first visit. INSTANTANEOUS DEATH has finally been removed. Some fonts don’t seem to work in distribution builds of the game. This will be figured out soon. The Shield Armor Slot has been renamed to “Accessory 1”, and Accessory has been renamed to “Accessory 2”. The “Magic” text in the Battle Screen has been replaced, and now says “SKILLS”. Various battle text changes have been made. Characters now have brief descriptors instead of abbreviations for nicknames. And finally, Typing “Gaster” as the password to Scenecast’s computer and clicking “OK” will close your game.

Issues and Problems:

Most fonts don't seem to work. Unfortunately.

Young Dreamcast assets still appear despite being retconned out of existence

That's all I could really find right now.
